According to the survey, in 2017, there were 386 hyperscale data centers globally, accounting for approximately 32% of the total server count in the global data center market. By 2021, the number of hyperscale data centers is expected to reach 628, with the server count proportion increasing to 53%.
In 2018, the number of hyperscale data centers reached 430, with the United States accounting for approximately 40% and China only about 8%. As of the end of 2016, the proportion of standard racks in hyperscale data centers among those under construction in China was nearly 40%, indicating that hyperscale data centers are also the mainstream of China's future data center construction.
